Update: Some further behavioral info. Closing AmiBroker and reopening it makes Explore start working again for one time only. Upon the second time using Explore, it begins misbehaving again. In the tests I just did, on the second (and after) times pressing explore, it entered the function but skipped much of the code before exiting.
I am setting and removing static variables each time the function is run. Can there be a harmful interaction between staticvarset and staticvarremove in some circumstances?
