Hi Joao
We didn't work on that angle but to make the program work for us we added a spread sheet that will give us complex next day orders and if filled.........stops....;which we call fire exits.
As you can see in the file attached.

Nowadays, I am developing a trading dashboard for my own use, like: http://www.amibroker.org/userkb/category/real-time-afl-applications/tdash_dev/

It is an AFL that runs on a chart, monitoring just one symbol (of course).

It gives me sound alerts with no problems at all - alertif().

I even use another chart to alert me by sound and email if the quotes are delayed more than 1-minute.
For example, if the US e-mini is delayed that would suggest that my internet or the datafeeder are down.

There are no tips that I could give, and maybe the main difference between the way our AFLs run is that you most be using an auto-repeated scan:

I have a single afl applied to multiple markets that is streaming but I see the sound alert only works occasionally.

So, if the problem isn't the code it could be using it on Analysis (but I really do not think so).

Why don't you use an additional e-mail alert to test ?

It could show if the problem is the sound alert or the alertif() function in the first place.
