I also use a notebook and two monitors (the notebook monitor and one extra).
I prefer notebooks because they need less power and do the job well.
So, my noBreak can hold the system on at least the double of time if it were a Desktop.
Maybe I will add more monitors using the USB video card. I do not need it know.

I even got a 5 amperes USB charger that stay connect on the AC outlet.

I would assume the plug is just an adapter/converter, itself it doesn't have a GPU.I didn't go this way, as I read about the extra CPU load, and, if mine W520 is working at 10% already (that roughly means 1 thread out of the 8 (4 cores CPU) is working at 100%), the fan kicks in which I can't bear on the long term.Now, if I could upgrade to a 4k monitor using an adapter like this while keeping my current Lenovo W520 would be great..
