I am glad to hear it worked for you. Normal charts use GDI and it is very easy on resources.
You may want to test one thing:
3D Optimization graph. It is animated and uses OpenGL (hardware accelerated) graphics.
I guess USB adapters would use software rendering in that case.

I cannot see any difference in display quality and response time, between this display and my internal video cards - but then I don't play games and perhaps there it would be noticeable. This is a very cheap and simple way to add video displays. The device came with DVI>VGA, DVI>HDMI adapters.
