I suggested the number 2, that is the initial idea.
But only if you need different default layouts.
If a different DB is needed, /database path should be enough.
I imagine that if you will use multiple instances, you will need different AFLs running (default layout) or DB.
In my applications, multiples charts and sheets are enough.

W$ historicaly is a single user system , no forking allowed so multiple instances must be implemented in running programs or duplicate instalation the same program with different name.
