If you can longer log into your yahoo account to change your information, then just create a new yahoo account with new email/password/username.
You can always sign your posts "Alan" even if your old username is no longer available, or add a few numbers to "Alan".
In 1999 when i first got a yahoo account Larry_P was taken so I just used Larry_P_99
