[amibroker] Re: [Need Suggestion] Multi-Monitor Setup

Unfortunately most monitors are "video watcher" 16:9ers. I was okay with 16:10 (1920x1200) previously, though most say that the ideal ratio is 3:2.

Now I am running 2x 2560x1440 (DELL U2515H).. These are quality monitors, excellent colour. You may be able to get away with a "TV" as well, especially that no high refresh rate is needed (as for games). They are again 16:9 but the vertical space more or less compensates for it. I find it a bit too wide though. I didn't go for 4k as my current laptop does not support it (Lenovo W520 with docking station). As it has two DisplayPorts (v1.1a), the current setup is the most it can handle. No complaints though.

I purchased a license for DisplayFusion, I find it a great software. Actually I don't split up to multiple sub-monitors -- maybe something I'll do with a 4k when I upgrade in a year or two. Maybe it's getting used to but dpi would be much higher on a 4k monitor, maybe I'd lose focus? Having said that, jumping from 1920 to 2560 was also odd at first (for about 2 days) but now I wouldn't go back.

Maybe it doesn't matter for 5 application but I do use VirtualWin for virtual desktops -- I do have 40-50 windows open at times.
