I've never got that to work with IQFeed and from what I understand it just request the intraday data provided by the provider then starts requesting EOD data.
IQFeed has intraday data going back to 2007 now so I'd have to download over a million 1 minute bars to get to the point where mixed EOD starts requesting EOD bars and then It'd still be unable to get correct daily compressed bars.
The two instances is my best solution. I like the way Amibroker works with databases as it makes managing very easy compared to other software that just seemed to throw everything in a pile.
However the EOD has something weird going on. No volume, double volume , reappearing volume, random values in open interest.
But I must be the only person who sees these issues or the only person using IQFeed and Amibroker for stocks.
