Dear Tomaz,
I believe creating a universal compatibility of using R in Amibroker is effective and encompassing solution than to implement X number of R functions in Amibroker.
R has forte because of the granularity of functions, it's massive list already and crowd sourced. It all depends how a trader thinks, how creative is he, what is his statistical capabilities are also how destructive/ creative can he be in designing his strategy :-)
A simple example would be hypothesis testing. There are N number of ways it can be performed in R, one just has to decide the nature of data and objective of study and select a function. But that's huge list testing methods hence, massive list of functions (packages) in itself.
So, instead of few traders tell you the list and you implementing and tomorrow a new trader comes and asks for a new function, it will be a huge Maintenance Job for you. Very low ROI effort for you (as a Developer) IMHO
"Effective and Efficient solution is, the integration of R in AB where user can use any function universally with the multi threading capabilities of AB, is the high ROI efforts both for you as a developer and we as traders and investors alike."
Regards,
Ankur
