Tim I did not look at the formula as I know nothing about MetaTrader.
But the name of your indicator and its purpose sound a lot like the "Fractal Dimension Index".
Hydrologist H.E. Hurst (1900–78) while examining river flows came up with the Hurst exponent and the later mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot used the Hurst exponent to experiment with time series found in cotton prices. He developed a method to measure irregular natural objects and named the measurement the fractal dimension. Thus, the FDI is based on the work of Mandelbrot and Hurst.
Over the years Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine has had numerous articles on the Hurst exponent or the FDI.
As far as I am aware, AmiBroker code for this can be found in a couple of places.
