Greetings --
Divergence is hard to quantify.
Before writing an afl program to calculate it, it must be rigorously defined.
Given a definition and afl program, be cautious about application.
Divergence, like Fibonacci and Elliott, it is easily seen in hindsight but more difficult to see on the right-hand edge.
Beware of implementations that "repaint" -- that is, that change when new data is received.
Also be certain to follow good system development practice and reserve some data that is not used in testing for validation. Divergence rules are easy to overfit.
Best,
Howard
