Thanks Howard for the idea. Verified and it worked as I expected it to. Using the day with the data hole as a entry was not allowed without pad/align to a reference symbol without a hole. When used with pad/align it used the previous bars close as the padded data for an entry. Using pad/align buying before and after the hole the number of bars held was 3 while without pad/align on it was reported as 2.
Your post using DateNum() actually made me think about what I asked. I was curious if Amibroker just started from (x) bar and then iterated through signals each continuous bar until it reached the end and if a hole would cause some sort of lag on the symbol with the hole in a portfolio.
However Amibroker does ask for dates when using "From-To Dates" so it would have to go through each date to determine buy/sell signals and not some barcount- back.
Not a common experience for me to use this data for anything as its mostly newer stocks that creep into a scanner I use to add to my list and it's not something I test with at all.
