Hi All,
I also got a "method does not exist" error on using CreateStaticObject("Excel.Application") and I searched for the problem for hours. Eventually I found that the basic setup code I copied from internet had additional spaces eg wb.Item( 1 ) instead of wb.Item(1). After deleting the spaces my problem was solved.
