Totally illogical to me. It will run the explore with the defaults turned off but of course without a symbol, you can't click on line and populate a chart because no symbol to link to (Catch 22). My explore lists the incorrect date in the Date/Time default column and all I wanted to do was suppress the incorrect column automatically instead of manually closing the column every time...
