Welcome to the community Doug. May I humbly suggest that you use an Exploration to see what your code is looking at.

20% move in one week is considerable.

Here is a simple Exploration code.

Filter = ROC( C, 1 ) < 20; // less than 20% move in past week
AddColumn( Ref( C, -1 ), "CloseLastWeek" );
AddColumn( Close, "Close" );
AddColumn( ROC( C, 1 ), "rocThisWeek" );

Every weekend you can run this on your selected Watchlist. Go to Backtester settings, set "Weekly" periodicity, in the Filter portion of the Analysis window pick the watchlist or sector etc that you are looking over.

Click Explore.

See attached screen shots.

   Hello everyone, I'm new here and in the beginning stages of writing code.  I feel honored to be in this room, and at the same time inept when I read the posts of experienced members. I am a full time carrot/onion farmer but I am trying to learn this in my spare time.
    I'm trying to run a weekly scan or backtest whereby the system only accepts equities that have gone up less than a percentage amount. For example I want to scan  only for stocks if they didnt move up 20% in the previous week. Thanks.
