Chiisaikumo,
To be more precise, I quote: "Professional Edition has a limit of 32 threads per Analysis window." So if I understand correctly, if you make use of anything more than just one Analysis window in Amibroker (some charts, other Analysis windows), Amibroker can utilize a lot more than just 32 threads...
So in general the more cores and threads, the better. But it is worth mentioning, that a single chart pane uses just one core and one thread. It means that a very complex or (badly written) single indicator/chart will be performing much better on an i7 4790K (4 cores, 8 threads) processor running at 4,5 Ghz than on a much more expensive (8 cores, 16 threads) Xeon running at 3 Ghz. Of course this is a very specific case - but worth considering.
... and Sean, I agree. Gaming rigs are an "overkill" for Amibroker. The most expensive part of such a monster is a GPU which in case of Amibroker is hardly used (at least for now, maybe it will change in the future). Buying a powerful CPU instead of a powerfull GPU is a better choice..
