New Jersey-based Glomb, of Your Town Realty, then decided to leverage his proprietary platform for use in the mortgage industry — which quickly led him to real estate. "We [applied] our philosophy of customer service and wondered, why doesn't a customer deal with just one person [rather than a real estate agent, mortgage professional, etc.]? We were referring [our mortgage clients] over to real estate agents. We wanted to make it more of a seamless transaction, where everything is in one place," Glomb said. "It took off from there." RealTrends reporter Brooklee Han recently caught up with Glomb, and his customer-centric approach was immediately evident, particularly while discussing his philosophy on how an agent's value is determined. Put simply, Glomb said: "I think your value comes from the number of people you can help. … The more people you help, the more practice you get and the better you get at your job."
