The Motley Fool to Invest $5M in BTC 💰

The Motley Fool has announced it's investing $5 million in Bitcoin. The company also believes that BTC could surge by 1,000% within the next 15 years — and hit $500,000. Although analysts admit Bitcoin will be volatile in the short term, they think prices could stabilize in the coming years, meaning it could become a medium of exchange. Here's the latest.

BlackRock is 'Dabbling' in Bitcoin 👀

The world's biggest asset manager has revealed that it has "started to dabble" in Bitcoin. BlackRock says "diversifying into other assets makes sense" — especially as interest rates are so low. The firm's chief investment officer told CNBC that regulation has evolved "to the point where a number of people find it should be part of their portfolio." Read more.

Revealed: Coinbase's Latest Valuation 🤑

Shares in Coinbase are currently changing hands on Nasdaq's private market for $303 each. All of this means that the major crypto exchange is set to be valued at $77 billion. It's also been reported that Coinbase now has five Fortune 500 companies as clients, with Tesla using the platform to snap up $1.5 billion in Bitcoin. Read more here.

The Swiss Canton of Zug is widely known as "Crypto Valley" for its pro-cryptocurrency outlook. And now, residents can pay their taxes in Bitcoin or Ethereum. Local crypto broker Bitcoin Suisse facilitated the partnership, its second in Switzerland so far, following a similar scheme in Zermatt.
