Bond investing is not over. The drop in bonds this year is causing investors to look for more cost efficient ways to invest, and they are looking at bond ETFs. Bond mutual funds have seen outflows this year, but ETF bond funds have seen inflows. It started with Dimensional Funds a year and a half ago, and this year the conversion from mutual funds to ETFs has accelerated. This week JPMorgan's asset management announced they would be converting four more mutual funds into exchange-traded funds. Another AI ETF? First there was the AI Powered ETF (AIEQ), which picked stocks using a proprietary model that incorporated artificial intelligence (AI). Now we have BTD Capital Fund (NYSE Arca: DIP). Rather than track sectors, DIP seeks to capitalize on quick-return opportunities in the market regardless of sector or market conditions. The AI behind DIP claims to consider more than 25 factors. The SEC has filed a response to Grayscale's lawsuit claiming the SEC has been unfair in allowing a bitcoin futures ETF but not allowing a spot bitcoin ETF. In its response, the SEC reiterated that spot bitcoin products are prone to fraud and manipulation. |
