Elon Musk: 'I'm not Warren Buffett' |
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has no intention of combining his companies into a single parent corporation like Berkshire Hathaway. During this week's earnings conference call, Musk was asked if, given his pending acquisition of Twitter and his shares in SpaceX, Neuralink, and Tesla, would there be any benefit from having them operate under a single structure, just as Google created Alphabet. He didn't sound dismissive of Warren Buffett (this time), but he did draw a distinction as he said he has no plans for an "umbrella." "It's not clear to me what the overlap is. It's not zero, but it's -- I think we're reaching. "I'm not Warren Buffett. I'm not an investor. I'm an engineer and a manufacturing person and a technologist. "So, I actually work and design and develop products. That's what I do." |
