The FHFA proposed a rule on Wednesday to amend the Enterprise Regulatory Capital Framework (ERCF) for the GSEs that would refine the leverage buffer and the risk-based capital treatment for CRT transactions.

Mortgage rates still flat at 2.86%

 

The average 30-year-fixed mortgage continued to hover around the 2.86% mark for the week ending Sept. 16, according to Freddie Mac's latest PMMS survey. Mortgage rates have been around that mark for roughly two months.

     
What's behind the sharp decline in mortgage delinquencies?

 

Mike Fratantoni writes: Our forecast is for the unemployment rate to continue to decline, reaching 4.5% by the end of 2021, and likely dropping below 4% by the end of 2022. The delinquency rate should follow that downward path closely.
