A NOTE FROM BOB
ETFs are on fire. September could mark the 11th straight month with over $50 billion in inflows, investors' latest show of interest in a red-hot year for the space. Join us on Monday where we'll dig into the September flows, key sector trends and what to expect in October – typically the most volatile month of the year. I'll be joined by Dave Nadig, chief investment officer and director of research at ETF Trends, Will Rhind, founder and CEO of GraniteShares, and Matthew Bartolini, head of SPDR Americas research for State Street. Catch it all live Monday at 1pmET on etfedge.cnbc.com.

Empowered Funds and Alkali Fintech just filed for a Gen Z ETF – first conceptualized by a high school junior – that would track U.S. stocks that went public after Jan. 1, 1997 screened for their utility with Gen Zers, innovation and ESG. The filing anticipates a tech and software-heavy portfolio.

Oil prices lifted this week after Chinese officials said the country was prepared to keep importing oil while keeping economic operations within a reasonable range, according to Reuters. With U.S. inventories on the rise and an energy crisis raging in Europe, the trade could be more pain than it's worth. We'll drill down on this Monday – along with gold, copper and how they fit in.

It now has an additional 45 days to make a determination on each proposal. This follows SEC Chair Gary Gensler's Wednesday comments doubling down on his support of bitcoin futures ETFs… could we see something major by the end of this year?
