TikTok generation, meet ETFs. Empowered Funds and Alkali Fintech just filed for a Gen Z ETF – first conceptualized by a high school junior – that would track U.S. stocks that went public after Jan. 1, 1997 screened for their utility with Gen Zers, innovation and ESG. The filing anticipates a tech and software-heavy portfolio.
China's commodity crunch could have a significant impact on global markets. Oil prices lifted this week after Chinese officials said the country was prepared to keep importing oil while keeping economic operations within a reasonable range, according to Reuters. Bitcoin ETF proposals bumped… The Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday extended its deadline to approve or reject four bitcoin ETF filings, including for the Global X Bitcoin Trust. It now has an additional 45 days to make a determination on each proposal. This follows SEC Chair Gary Gensler's Wednesday comments doubling down on his support of bitcoin futures ETFs… could we see something major by the end of this year?
