By Nik Hoffman A proposed bill for regulating Bitcoin in Paraguay would require mining licenses and establish investor protections.
A new bill to regulate bitcoin is set to be proposed in Paraguay. The proposal, to be initiated by Congressman Carlos Rejala in conjunction with Senator Silvia Facetti, refers to bitcoin as a virtual asset and attempts to regulate it as currency.
The bill is slightly different compared to El Salvador's, as it does not treat bitcoin as a legal tender. But it is a step in the right direction, giving more confidence to investors to get involved in the Bitcoin Industry, knowing that their investments won't be challenged by new regulation.

By Namcios Bitcoin miner Greenidge has partnered with Foundry Digital to buy 2,300 WhatsMiners and finance 6,000 Antminers, plus join Foundry USA Pool.
Yet another bitcoin mining company is in pursuit of increasing hash rate. Greenidge Generation has announced a purchase of 2,300 WhatsMiner M30S mining rigs and a financing deal to acquire 6,000 Antminers S19 machines, both via Foundry Digital. Additionally, the mining firm shared that it will join the Foundry USA bitcoin mining pool. The company is fully committed to going "green," and announced the development of a new carbon neutral facility last week.
